Job opening: CEO of large Internet company

Posted by Benjamin J. Romano

You've likely already heard this, but I wanted to make mention of it here, too: Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang announced that he's stepping down today.

He will return to his position as chairman of the board of the Internet company he co-founded with David Filo. This caps a tumultuous year for Yahoo, which was the object of a Microsoft acquisition attempt that plodded along through spring and summer.

Anyone interested in the Yahoo CEO job should send their resume to Heidrick & Struggles, the search firm the Yahoo board has hired to fill Yang's shoes.

See coverage all over the place. But Kara Swisher seems to be leading the pack.
