Microsoft blitzing San Francisco; Mayor Gavin Newsom to declare Nov. 2, 'Microsoft Innovation Day'

I wonder what the tech companies headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area are going to think about this one: Microsoft is running several events in San Francisco on Monday to highlight the "transformative power of technology in today's society and global economy." That would be Microsoft technology, of course, and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is scheduled to "formally proclaim Nov. 3 as Microsoft Innovation Day" at a VIP mixer ahead of a San Francisco Chamber of Commerce event.
