WSJ: Senior Yahoo, Microsoft execs met, made no progress toward deal

Another day, another anonymously sourced report on meetings between Microsoft and Yahoo in The Wall Street Journal. At least it's Friday.
The meeting took place sometime this week at a location near Sunnyvale, Calif., Yahoo's headquarters, according to the Journal's report, which cites unidentified "people familiar with the matter." The investment bankers were left out of the meeting, as they reportedly were the last time the companies met in person in mid-March.
Microsoft, according to the Journal, stuck by its position -- leaked to the Journal earlier this week -- that it has no plans to raise its bid. Yahoo execs won't come to the table for formal talks until the pot is sweetened.
