Microsoft's Chief Software Architect sends memo on services strategy

Microsoft Chief Software Architect Ray Ozzie continued to flesh out his "software plus services" vision with a memo to employees, which Microsoft also made available publicly.
The five-page memo (PDF) comes as Microsoft unveiled its Live Mesh service, which it's calling a prime example of the broader strategy.
This is the second big Internet services memo Ozzie has issued in his time at Microsoft. The first came in October 2005, shortly after he joined the company. The Internet Services Disruption memo was widely seen as a wake-up call to Microsoft.
