No Yahoo announcement this morning

Posted by Benjamin J. Romano

Microsoft General Counsel Brad Smith said he had no news on Yahoo this morning when I spoke with him on the sidelines of a company conference for law enforcement officials.

Maybe Microsoft is still deliberating or just biding its time before making its next step on the Yahoo deal.

See this story from Saturday's paper for a look at some of the alternatives Microsoft could pursue.

We hosted an online poll asking readers what they think Microsoft will do next. Here are the results:

Go hostile 44% (147 votes)

Walk away 35% (116 votes)

Negotiate 9% (31 votes)

Raise the bid 12% (40 votes)
