Game Over: Blog on hiatus until WNBA training camp opens
Posted by Jayda Evans
They call it furlough, I'm going to say vacation since I'm one of the fortunate who has a job to return to, so far. So, this blog is going on hiatus until the WNBA opens training camp on May 17.
True, we'll be missing a lot. Two-time league MVP Lauren Jackson will pick her final summer destination (I hope by then) and current MVP Candace Parker will give birth to her daughter. There's also coaching rumors about Los Angeles coach Michael Cooper (Southern California) and Detroit coach Bill Laimbeer (NBA) that should be settled. Then the unexpected that always expectedly pops up.
While I won't blog about the latest here, I know I won't be able to completely keep quiet with the bigger news. You can follow me on Twitter for updates and commentary. Particularly when Jackson announces whether she's going to return to the franchise she helped establish or try something new in the desert.
Upon return in May, I'll wrap-up the final three WNBA draft re-caps and dive right into the season. Take care!
