Storm center Suzy Batkovic continues EuroCup play today

Posted by Jayda Evans

Batkovic.jpgBefore the afternoon draft (broadcast live on ESPN2, PST), Storm coach Brian Agler said he was going to watch new center Suzy Batkovic (pictured right) play in the EuroCup Final this morning. A native Australian, Batkovic is hopeful to lead her team past Seimone Augustus (Minnesota) and San Antonio star Sophia Young's team for the title. The game will be played in Turkey. UPDATE: Batkovic's team lost, placing second in EuroCup play.

Batkovic, who is averaging 17.1 points, also plays with Michelle Greco, who was part of Seattle's 2004 championship team. Augustus leads her team with 19.8 points while Young is the rebound leader (8.6).

You can get updates on the matchup here.
