SEATTLE STORM ANNOUNCES 2009 10-GAME TICKET PACKAGES
SEATTLE, Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 -- The Seattle Storm today announced the sale of two 10-game ticket package options for the 2009 WNBA season, the team's 10th year in the league. Storm 10-game ticket packages will go on sale Monday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.
The Storm, which will play 17 regular-season games at KeyArena this summer, is offering a 10-game "All-Star Package" that features marquee matchups against the 2008 WNBA Champion Detroit Shock, the Los Angeles Sparks (with 2008 WNBA MVP and Rookie of the Year Candace Parker) and the 2008 Western Conference Champion San Antonio Silver Stars. The 10-game "Weekend Package" includes nine great weekend matchups at the Key, plus the regular-season home finale versus Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.
Storm ticket package holders receive ticket savings of up to 25 percent off single-game prices, preferred seating, the opportunity to purchase playoff tickets before the general public, the one-on-one service of a personal Storm representative, and the convenience of no service fees or taxes.
"While a full-season ticket package provides the best value to watch and experience Storm basketball, we are pleased to offer these two 10-game options that give Storm fans the flexibility to pick a plan that best fits their summer schedule," said Storm Chief Executive Officer Karen Bryant.
The Seattle Storm will open its 2009 WNBA schedule on Saturday, June 6 in a 1 p.m. matchup versus the Monarchs at ARCO Arena in Sacramento. The Storm returns to Seattle on Sunday, June 7 for its first KeyArena home game at 6 p.m., also against the Monarchs. The team's June 7, 2009 home opener falls on the 10th anniversary of the city of Seattle being selected as one of four cities to receive a WNBA expansion team in 2000.
Fans can purchase the Storm's 2009 10-game ticket packages or 2009 full-season ticket packages by calling 206-217-WNBA or logging on to storm.wnba.com.
