Storm F Sheryl Swoopes making holiday rounds

Posted by Jayda Evans

Macy's.jpgStorm star Sheryl Swoopes said she'd be around to promote the team this offseason and it seems the sharpshooter isn't leaving a corner unturned to get the word out. Two stops I know you'll be interested in is her appearing with son Jordan, Doppler, and 18 of the Storm Dance Troupe in the Macy's Holiday Parade on Nov. 28 downtown.

The parade starts at 8:45 in the morning and will be aired live on KING 5 TV at 9 a.m. Or you can catch the replay on NWCN at 11 a.m. and KONG 6/16 at 6 p.m.

In December, Swoopes will don the granny outfit for the matinee production of the Nutcracker on Dec. 14. Longtime fans may remember when former Storm SG Betty Lennox played the role with her hair styled in cornrows. The best adaptation I've seen was when former Sonic Vin Baker played the grandfather two consecutive years. Warren Sapp and his twinkle toes on "Dancing with the Stars" has nothing on Baker skills. Former Sonic Vladimir Radmanovic also played the holiday role.

I was wondering if Sheryl (since she's in town) or another Storm player would reprise the "grandmama" role.  Posted on November 22, 2008 at 10:47 AM by wbb fan. Jump to comment
