Another month is upon us, so it's time for another glossy spread on Storm forward Swin Cash at the newsstands. This one is from Sports Northwest. It talks about her wanting to be in the mix in Seattle, especially at jazz clubs and sushi bars. The mag also features a story on the four women of Force 10 Hoops, who bought the Storm, by sports radio personality Mike "Gasman" Gastineau.
On the Web, Storm PG Sue Bird is back exchanging blogs with former college teammate Diana Taurasi (Phoenix). The duo also won the EuroLeague and Russian League championships together this offseason. So don't they, and Tina Thompson (Houston) and Lauren Jackson (Seattle), one-up Candace Parker's spin on the Triple Crown? The vets are going for respective fourth titles in seeking the WNBA championship and Olympic gold in addition to their overseas accomplishments this offseason.
And this Triple Crown hype that we're now surrounding Parker with, that's just because the titles are in the same calendar year, right? Because Bird won a high school, college, WNBA, and Olympic title before Parker even knew the words to that rocky top song. Just saying.
