The Storm plans to honor Carly Stowell before Tuesday's game against Los Angeles at KeyArena. Perhaps you've heard of the 14-year-old basketball star who died while preparing to participate in a Deep South Classic for the Seattle-based Emerald City Legends 15U club team in Raleigh, N.C., last April. Stowell, a freshman at Kentlake High, had such a promising career, Notre Dame made it clear they wanted to sign her once eligible, according to sources.
Stowell's parents and two brothers will be in attendance for the Sparks game. The family is in the process of establishing a music/athletic scholarship through its foundation in Stowell's honor. More information is available via e-mail at email@example.com soon.
