Storm forward Lauren Jackson said she's headed back to Russia next fall, possibly living in posh digs with former Spartak Moscow Region teammates Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird again. This time for six months.
Jackson signed a three-year deal to play in South Korea, but the Koreans aren't allowing international players in their league in 2008 in order to prepare for the Olympics. That opens the door for Jackson to sign a one-year deal to play in Russia, which she said she's "about to" finalize. The Australian native was coy about the dollar amount; all I could weasel out is that it's more than $300,000 and less than $600,000 American. Bird made about $350,000 this past season.
Jackson was paid six figures for a one-month playoff run, winning the Russian Superleague title earlier this month. She'll reunite with Taurasi and fellow Aussie Penny Taylor when the Storm hosts Phoenix on Wednesday.
