KASEY KELLER
(On how much he can contribute his goalless streak to the players in front of him) "It's a team. The front four are key. I mean, you saw a couple great tackles from Tyrone [Marshall], from James Riley, from Jhon Hurtado. Guys are putting their bodies on the line to keep this streak alive. I saw a goal today, earlier, that Chicago scored, where I saw a player not do that for Columbus. That kind of stuff...I think the guys know I'm not going to be happy if they don't, but they also know at the same time that I'll smash through a brick wall to try to keep the ball out of the net as well, and that's what it's down to: knowing that your guys are going to do the same thing that they expect of you, and everyone's fighting to keep zeroes. That's key."
STEVE ZAKUANI
(On whether he was exhausted when he came out of the game) "Definitely. Obviously, I missed a lot of preseason, three weeks, the whole Argentina trip. I think you can't underestimate that. That's why preseason's nine weeks long, and I wasn't there for all of it, and I'm catching up now. So every week in training, I'm working hard to get back, playing in reserve games when I can. And I think for 60 minutes today, I put in good work, and it was definitely time for me to leave at that point and insert some fresh legs. With work, with Dave, our fitness coach, and keep getting matches, within a week or two, I'll definitely be ready for 90 minutes. But it takes time."
(On whether it's difficult to start sometimes and not others) "It can be. But I think today, it was weird, it felt like a new start for us, because we've been away from home and we came back and we knew we lost two games. It kind of felt like a restart to our season. It was weird in that way. I think the fans were great again. I think we defended well, which has been our mantra so far. [If the other team doesn't score,] then you've got a great chance to win, and we did that again today. Get the goals, and it's a good night's work."
(On whether this game gave the team confidence...) "As a team? A lot, because, not that we've questioned ourselves, but when you do lose two games, you kind of begin to address a little bit more, what's going wrong? What haven't we done? And I think we had a great week of training. We really addressed some issues. We spoke a lot, and we came out there tonight and put things right. We kind of played how we were playing before, and it paid off for us."
