Sounders FC tied for second overall

Posted by Jose Romero

This was brought to my attention by Dave Clark, a regular reader, who noted that Seattle would be No. 2 in MLS overall if the season ended today because of the goal differential tie-breaker. Sounders FC and Chicago have 9 points each, but Seattle's GD is four (7-3) while the Fire's (10-7) is three.

Only Chivas USA has allowed fewer goals (2) than Sounders FC, which gets Kasey Keller back this week. The New England Revolution has also given up three goals this season.

Seattle plays at Chicago May 2...I'm booked to make the trip.

Turning our attention this Saturday vs. the Quakes, here's the game story about San Jose's 1-1 tie with the L.A. Galaxy Saturday from the San Jose Mercury News.
