Sounders FC v. Gimnasia La Plata rained out
Posted by Jose Romero
Seattle was to get in a game against the co-leaders in the Argentine first division this morning. It wasn't originally on the schedule, and it never ended up happening, as heavy rain apparently made the natural grass surface unplayable.
Game tomorrow vs. River Plate is still on, as far as I know. It's the finale for Seattle in Argentina. Today, according to the team Web site, will be weight training and a team meeting.
As for me, les mando saludos desde Arizona (greetings from Arizona). I'm here to see a few Dodgers games at their new spring training facility in Glendale, near Phoenix, and to work the Mariners' game vs. Oakland on Friday in Phoenix. So you can look for me to post on the Times' Mariners blog that day, if you so choose.
I'm a big fan of baseball, a lot of sports really. The Dodgers have been my team since the Fernando Valenzuela days (early 80s).
So I won't be posting much on this blog this week. This is technically some vacation time for me.
PS It's going to be at least 80 degrees here today. Ahhhhhh.....warmth.
