First tie of the preseason
Posted by Jose Romero
That was the result this morning in Buenos Aires, where Sounders FC and an Argentine team called CED finished tied at 1 after a 70-minute match.
See the details in the Sounders FC Web site's running blog. Looks like some of the diehards were following along.
Here was the starting lineup: GK Chris Eylander; Zach Scott, Tyson Wahl, Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, Evan Brown; Michael Fucito, Ryan Caugherty, Stephen King, Roger Levesque; Jeff Clark, Fredy Montero. Looks like they got a look at the guys on the bubble to make the final roster. Scott, Caugherty, Levesque, Clark are presumably those guys.
Also looks like a couple of new faces got in. Ely Allen, the former UW player waived just last week by the LA Galaxy, and Diego Ferreira. The team has his name spelled "Ferreyra" but it appears this is the guy. (translated from Spanish). Read some info on both.
SSFC is now 6-1-1 in exhibition play. At least two and probably three more games to play in Argentina.
