Or six hours' time difference from here. Sounders FC is on its way there now and is expected to arrive in Argentina after about a 10-hour flight from Dallas-Fort Worth early Thursday morning.

From the comments I've received from many of you, it seems like there is either some confusion or consternation, or both, about the ending of SuperSearch winner Vini Oliveira's time with the team that came last Friday.

Here's what Sounders FC GM Adrian Hanauer said on the matter:

"The contest all along was for an opportunity in training camp. Just like any other player on our team, anyone can be cut. We've got multi-year players who are concerned with their livelihoods."

"He spent the time and he's a great kid and he did OK, but he's not ready for this level [MLS]. We are anxious to try to find him a good stepping stone and monitor his progress."

Hope that clears up things. The Premier Development League of USL might be the ideal place for Oliveira, and there are three teams very close by in Kitsap, Tacoma and here in Seattle.
