Sounders FC moves to 2-0 in exhibition play, plus news
Posted by Jose Romero
That's the report from Ventura, Calif., as Seattle defeated Shandong Luneng, a Chinese club team, 2-0 on a pair of goals by midfielder Sanna Nyassi.
This from the Sounders FC Web site, which was doing a live game blog from today's match.
That would be three goals and an assist for the diminutive but speedy Nyassi in the first two exhibition games. Nyassi came on to start the second half of the match.
Sounders FC stays in Ventura for tomorrow's exhibition game against the Ventura Country Fusion of the USL Premier Development League. That game is at Buena High School and starts at 7 p.m., and is open to the public.
FLASH -- Khano Smith update: According to the Bermuda Royal Gazette newspaper, Smith, a Sounders FC midfielder, is leaving the team in California tonight to fly to New York for a physical with the Red Bulls Wednesday. Stay tuned for more on this impending trade.
