John, Cox: Two Dawgs on a mission
Posted by Jose Romero
You can read about it here. George John and Raphael Cox are two of only eight players from the West Coast at this week's MLS player combine Florida.
I spoke to both players Tuesday and they're obviously excited about the opportunity. But theirs is the longest trip to Florida, coming from Seattle. John doesn't leave until Friday and will likely miss the opening workout of the combine, and Cox got a redeye flight Thursday.
The two were also instructed to bring suit and tie in case they are invited by the league to attend the MLS SuperDraft in St. Louis on Jan. 15. Only some of the combine participants are asked to be at the draft.
That's Cox on the left, John on the right. Photos courtesy of gohuskies.com.
