Inaugural membership association meeting
Posted by Jose Romero

It was Thursday night at Qwest Field, and it was packed. Drew Carey, Sounders FC minority owner, made an appearance, the team's marching band debuted and members got to vote on two things: the name of the band and the name of the membership association. that's Carey in the photo with Sounders FC players Sebastien Le Toux and Sanna Nyassi. Sorry about the quality -- I only had my cell phone with me. Oh yeah, and I think it was the Emerald City Supporters who sang an ode to Seattle.
Here's an overview of the membership association.
Here are the choices members have for name of the membership association:
1. Alliance
2. Members Association
3. Union
4. write-in suggestion
And for the band name:
1. Green Machine
2. Sounders FC Band
3. Sound Wave (My pick, if I had one)
4. write-in suggestion.
"Everything's better with brass," Carey said after the band, featuring trumpets, trombones and tubas, played a raucous tune.
Members have until 11:59 p.m on Dec.1 to cast an online vote.
