April Fools prank?
Posted by Percy Allen
The Seattle advertising agency WongDoody has organized an 11 a.m. press conference at their office to announce a group called B2 Inc. plans to build a new privately financed downtown sports entertainment and exposition facility.
A spokeswoman for the agency reached this evening said this is not an April Fools prank. Still she declined to give any specifics other than what is in a vague press release.
She would not say if the building is a multi-purpose arena or a basketball specifc arena that could hold the Sonics, however, Brian Robinson, co-founder for Save Our Sonics, said the building is a possible alternative to KeyArena.
"We're thrilled that there are multiple options emerging," he said. "We need to look at each one them and it's just further proof that there are other options here for Clay Bennett and the NBA to explore."
There's rampant internet speculation that former Sonics great Fred Brown is one of the individuals involved with the project. Stay tuned.

Go with the deep bore tunnel and give some of the waterfront property to any group willing to build a new arena where the viaduct property is now.
We can build a new arena without new taxes, and build it in a better location.
