Many pointed out the obvious connections in Sonics GM Sam Presti's trade moves this season. He was mentored by Cleveland GM Danny Ferry and Presti came from San Antonio, so it was little coincidence that he worked deals with both teams to give vet Kurt Thomas a chance at a playoff run (Spurs) and dump pricey contracts (Wally Szczerbiak) and malcontent Delonte West on the Cavs.
But in the mix was Brent Barry, a former Sonic the team bought out and many others were pursuing in their playoff push. One was Phoenix and now that Barry apparently will re-sign with San Antonio later this month, Suns GM Steve Kerr is wondering whether Presti did a little backstabbing. Read more here.
