Here's a good feature on the Sonics' rebuilding process, a nice break from all of the relocation stories. It shows how the Sonics are stacked to be a real player the upcoming two offseasons in free agency and the draft, if the Sonics choose to keep their picks.
The salary cap space and want of GM Sam Presti to surround Kevin Durant and Jeff Green with quality people is another reason why the current trade rumors swirling around are not going to happen. Ricky Davis would be toxic in the Sonics' locker room and every player on the current roster can teach the rookies something positive about being a pro and playing the game. Even the way Damien Wilkins is handling his unhappiness with his role is beneficial.
"I'm going to at least look the part," says Wilkins when he exits the locker room in sharp tailored suits after playing scattered minutes.
