Results of Wilcox's X-rays
Posted by Percy Allen
An X-Ray today in Seattle revealed that F Chris Wilcox didn't suffer any serious damage when he dislocated his right pinky during Thursday's game at Phoenix.
That's the good news.
The bad news? Wilcox isn't likely to re-join the Sonics on their East Coast road trip. Officially, he's listed as doubtful for Sunday and questionable for Tuesday, but realistically he'd need to jump on a plane early tomorrow to be available for Sunday and that's just not coach P.J. Carlesimo's style.
This season if a player isn't 100 percent, P.J. has always erred on the side of caution and taken a slow approach (i.e. Luke Ridnour, Kevin Durant, Kurt Thomas, etc). Missing the game will be difficult for Wilcox who went to school at Maryland has has lots of friends in the area.
There's a chance he flies to Cleveland, but keep in mind the Supes play the next night in New Jersey before coming home.
