Wilcox returing to Seattle
Posted by Percy Allen
Forward Chris Wilcox will return to Seattle today to have his right pinky examined by doctors. He'll miss Sunday's game at Washington and will likely not join the team for the remainder of its road trip. Seattle plays at Cleveland on Tuesday and New Jersey on Wednesday.
I spoke with Wilcox afterwards and he didn't sound optimistic.
"We'll see what the doctors say," he said. "Right now, I just don't know. It's discouraging because I hate missing games, but it's up to them. They've got to make the call."
Wilcox missed Monday's game because of a sprained left knee and looked pretty good Thursday in his return. In four minutes, he had four points and three rebounds before the injury.
