Final thoughts

Forgot to note the Sonics are 0-11 on Christmas Day and Portland is 12-1 on Christmas Day.
Even if you hate Portland and everything about Portland, you got to respect the way the GM Kevin Pritchard and coach Nate McMillan are building the Trail Blazers. They are the youngest team in the NBA at 24 years and 26 days and they've got a lot of pieces to work with as they move forward.
Of course, Brandon Roy is the centerpiece and no one could have predicted that he would be this good this soon. I thought he'd be a nice NBA player, but I never thought he'd be someone that you can build the team around. But that's exactly what he is. Roy is that good. And he's getting better.
But the scary part for the rest of the league is the development of LaMarcus Aldridge and Martell Webster. They weren't very good tonight as they combined for 2-for-17 shooting, but they have been solid this season. Toss in Channing Frye, Travis Outlaw, Sergio Rodriguez, Jarrett Jack and James Jones and this is a more than respectable young club with a bright future.
Oh and that's not including No. 1 pick Greg Oden.
Sonics GM Sam Presit would do well to pay close attention to Pritchard's handiwork. The Sonics tapped out their potental on many players last season. With the exception of Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Delonte West and Mouhamed Sene, the Sonics players are in the words of Denny Green "exactly who we thought they are."
