Marcus Trufant's career-high three interceptions and first NFL touchdown earned him the award as the NFC defensive player of the week this week. It's the first time Trufant earned that award and the second consecutive week a Seahawk defensive player was recognized. Lofa Tatupu was the NFC defensive player of the week after intercepting three passes in Philadelphia.

Trufant is also a candidate for the Home Depot "Neighborhood MVP" finalists. Here's a link to the video on NFL.com that details Trufant's contributions. The volunteer work is being done on a playground at West Seattle Elementary.
