Leroy Hill agrees to terms
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Update at 5:55 p.m.: Associated Press is reporting the contract terms are a six-year deal with $15.5 million guaranteed and a maximum value of $38 million. No specifics on the contract, but it's a multi-year deal.
Coach Jim Mora appeared on 710 AM, the radio station with the Seahawks' broadcast rights.
"It's really a positive thing for this organization, a positive thing for Leroy," Mora said.
The Seahawks removed the franchise tag from Hill after picking linebacker Aaron Curry in the draft.
The decision was made to hasten negotiations between Seattle and Hill after things had stalled. It appeared things were headed toward Hill not participating in any of the offseason work.
Now, Hill will be present when the Seahawks hold a voluntary veteran minicamp on Friday.
"When you just show up the first week before a regular-season game there's so much catching upf to do," Mora said. "This gives Leroy a chance to catch-up right away."
