Seahawks traded No. 37 pick to Denver

The Broncos picked cornerback Alphonso Smith with the pick acquired from Seattle, and the Seahawks received Denver's first-round pick in 2010.
Update: The Broncos have two first-round picks, theirs and the one belonging to Chicago. Seattle acquired the first-round pick that belongs to Denver.
President Tim Ruskell talked about the trade: "We went and brought the coaches in and Jim, and we just discussed, 'Here are the players that are here. What is there role and how immediate the impact is because that's kind of the philosophy we had taken. So we went through all the scenarios first. We really hashed it out and then, at the end of the day, it tilted toward, 'OK, this is a one [first-round pick] and we ranked it that way."
