Julian Peterson on KJR-AM: "It's business and I'm fine with it."

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Linebacker Julian Peterson was interviewed by Dave Mahler on KJR (950 AM) from Detroit where Peterson now plays for the Detroit Lions.

A couple of things worth noting. First of all, Peterson said he was not approached by the Seahawks about taking a paycut. He said the Seahawks never approached him about that before the trade. Mahler is the first one to ask Peterson about the paycut issue.

Second, Peterson was told about the trade on Saturday morning when his agent called at 8 to tell him that he was traded to Detroit.

"Well, do I have a say on it?" Peterson said he asked his agent.

Nope. No choice. He said he was going to move ahead and make the best of it, saying "It is what it is," at least five times.
