Chiefs sign Bobby Engram

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Wide receiver Bobby Engram signed with the Chiefs, the team announced on Tuesday. His departure from Seattle is not surprising, and was in many ways considered likely after T.J. Houshmandzadeh signed.

Engram, 36, played the past eight seasons with Seattle. He re-signed with Seattle two years ago only after an appeal from coach Mike Holmgren. He caught 94 passes in 2007 and sought a contract extension in the offseason but the sides could not agree.

So does this mean that they may still try and go after Michael Crabtree on the draft? I still don't know how I feel about him and something...  Posted on March 17, 2009 at 8:13 PM by diuxo. Jump to comment
Engram was the most reliable receiver the Seahawks have had for a long time. I will miss him.  Posted on March 17, 2009 at 4:30 PM by mattythefatty. Jump to comment
I don't really get it. A 36 year old receiver is more valuable to Kansas city than Seattle? Hate to see him go.  Posted on March 17, 2009 at 4:35 PM by Wanna Bet. Jump to comment
