Nate Burleson on Houshmandzadeh: "He's a cool cat"

Posted by Danny O'Neil

Nate Burleson was interviewed on KJR-AM by Dave Mahler on Thursday morning. First of all, he said he has been running for about a month right now as he recovers from knee surgery last September. He said it looks like he'll be back in time for the start of the regular season.

As for the addition of T.J. Houshmandzadeh?

"I'm always partial to get a proven playmaker whether he plays the same position or not," Burleson said to Mahler.

Burleson said he had the chance to meet with Houshmandzadeh for 30 or 40 minutes.

"He's a cool cat, laid back," Burleson said of Houshmandzadeh. "Aside from the personality, you just look at his career, no major injuries and as consistent as they come."
