Report: John Marshall to be named Raiders defensive coordinator

Posted by Danny O'Neil

John Marshall will become the next defensive coordinator for Oakland, according to this report from The National Football Post. That Web site is the one that first reported Casey Bradley would be Seattle's next defensive coordinator so we'll stay tuned for an announcement from Oakland regarding Marshall.

Update, 12:14 p.m.: Sounds like things are getting very close with Marshall as the San Francisco Chronicle reports the Raiders are nearing a finalized contract with Marshall to be defensive coordinator and Tom Cable to go from interim head coach to permanent. Here's the link to the report.

They are also hammering out the remaining staff, with former Seahawks defensive coordinator John Marshall poised to accept the same position with the Raiders.
