Coaching staff: Haskell, Marshall and Gilbertson out; Robert Prince in
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Coach Jim Mora just concluded his introductory press conference, and he laid out the coaching staff. Coordinators Gil Haskell and John Marshall have not been retained. Position coaches Keith Gilbertson and Dwaine Board also will not be back.
Robert Prince has been hired to coach wide receivers, the position Gilbertson held last season. Dan Quinn will coach defensive line, an agreement reached Saturday, and Greg Knapp and Casey Bradley will serve as offensive and defensive coordinators.
Joe Barry has not been hired to coach Seattle's linebackers, contrary to a report published Saturday on the league's own Web site. Zerick Rollins has been retained to coach the linebackers.
Prince coached most recently in Jacksonville. He previously worked in Atlanta.
Special teams coach Bruce DeHaven will be back, one of the 12 coaches retained. Mike DeBoard -- assistant offensive-line coach last season -- will move to coach tight ends, the position filled by Jim Lind last season.
One vacancy remains and that is coaching defensive backs.
