Practice in the rain
Posted by Jose Romero
Everyone got lucky yesterday as far as the weather, but today's Seahawks practice was conducted in a constant shower.
The team probably would have gone back to the UW's Dempsey Indoor facility today if this wasn't the last practice of the week. The team gets Friday-Sunday off and resumes the mini-camp Monday.
The team slogged through the rain. Highlights of the day included a couple of nice catches from WRs Michael Bumpus and Trent Shelton in one-on-one drills against defensive backs and an interception by Josh Wilson during team drills.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen the team so happy to be done with practice. When Kevin Hobbs ended the day with an interception, the entire defense mobbed him and chanted while jumpiing up and down. Then guys broke off and headed for the locker room and out of the rain.
