Floyd Womack absent from practice field
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Offensive lineman Floyd Womack wasn't on the practice field, and while the team doesn't announce injuries or status during offseason workouts, the most likely explanation is he was getting treatment. Womack has been an oft-injured member of the Seahawks offensive line the past few seasons.
Defensive tackle Rocky Bernard returned to practice on Tuesday. He missed Monday's workout after attending a pre-trial hearing. Bernard is recovering from offseason surgery on his foot. He participated in individual drills on Tuesday, not the team drills.

Under the lights of the Dempsey Indoor
Posted by Jose Romero
The Seahawks held practice at the UW's Dempsey Indoor Practice Facility today to get out of the rain, and here are some observations:
-Mike Holmgren was for the second day in a row very hands on with the receivers. He also gathered the entire offensive team for a huddle in the middle of practice.
-Kickers Olindo Mare and Brandon Coutu got to kick with the field goal units, and each made kicks of 32, 37 and 42 yards before missing from 47 yards.
-DE Darryl Tapp is acting like a leader out there. The third-year pro, who is listed as a starter at present on the depth chart, was doing the jump-and-bump celebration with rookie Lawrence Jackson and Nu'u Tafisi after the two had won their individual pass rush drill over offensive linemen. That's the celebratrion where two guys leap in the air and bump each other's hips or chest.
-Rookie DT Red Bryant overpowered his man at one point in that same drill. The guy is a load.
-After practice, QB Matt Hasselbeck (you might as well call him Mr. Boston Sports) was asked for a prediction on the Celtics-Lakers NBA finals. "Celtics in three," he said. "Write it down." Yes, Hasselbeck does know that it is a best-of-seven series. I have to ask him about his guy David Ortiz going on the DL for the Red Sox.
