Walter Jones to IR, QB Jeff Rowe signed from Cincinnati practice squad
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Coach Mike Holmgren just finished his Monday news conference. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is improving, but is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Holmgren said Hasselbeck most likely will serve as the No. 3 quarterback for the game.
Tackle Sean Locklear suffered a dislocated toe. The toe was put back in joint, but is sore, and Holmgren said it will be a challenge for Locklear to be able to play. Locklear is not expected to practice, and if he doesn't play, Holmgren said the most likely solution is to start Kyle Williams at left tackle and leave everyone else where they are on the line.
Left tackle Walter Jones was officially placed on injured reserve, and quarterback Jeff Rowe was signed off the Bengals' practice squad. Rowe is a second-year quarterback out of Nevada.
