Audio: Bill Belichick, getting loose with it
Posted by Danny O'Neil
New England coach Bill Belichick just finished his conference call with Seattle reporters, and those expecting a gruff-voiced porcupine were disappointed. He was engaging, and dare we say it, legitimately funny when he was asked what he was like off the field.
"Pretty loose," Belichick said.
Really? That doesn't sound like the thick-browed man we see on the sidelines for the Patriots who's been known to tuck a challenge flag into his sock and wear sweatshirts with the sleeves hacked off.
Belichick went on to explain that in the offseason he's taken trips to see Bon Jovi concerts, gone to the NCAA Tournament with Florida coach Bill Donovan and spent summers in Nantucket (as opposed to winters in Rangoon).
