Roster moves, practice reports
Posted by Danny O'Neil
José Romero posted the news from the team concerning the addition of tackle Kyle Williams to the 53-man roster.
The move is likely prompted by a need to address overall depth along the offensive line. Williams is a tackle, a position where the Seahawks are not hurting, but the two players who were backup tackles when the season began -- Ray Willis and Floyd Womack -- are currently the two starting guards. Throw in the fact that C Chris Spencer is questionable because of his back injury and the Seahawks would be perilously thin along the line should he be unable to play.
Putzier was released previously this season when the team needed safety Jamar Adams to be active for special teams so it's not a shock he would be the one moved off the roster this time. Holmgren has shown an increased willingness these past few years to have only two tight ends available for a game.
