Matt Hasselbeck in Los Angeles for tests
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is in California Monday for a scheduled visit with the back surgeon who diagnosed the cause of the weakness in his leg as the bulging disk.
Hasselbeck's status for this week is uncertain, and coach Mike Holmgren said his status continues to be on a week-to-week basis.
Wide receiver Deion Branch is unlikely to play this week, and the exact nature of his heel injury is unclear at this point. He worked out hard one day last week and was very sore the next day. He won't return until a workout does not cause soreness in the heel the next day.
Linebacker Lofa Tatupu suffered a groin injury, and is not likely to practice much this week, but Holmgren remained hopeful to have his middle linebacker for next week's game. Defensive end Patrick Kerney suffered an injury in the shoulder he had offseason surgery on. Holmgren remains hopeful he could play this week as well though it's unlikely Kerney will practice much this week.
