Wallace feeling "better every day"
Posted by Jose Romero
Backup QB Seneca Wallace got a lot of snaps in practice Thursday, making it appear more likely that he will make his first start of the season Sunday when the Seahawks play at Tampa Bay.
Wallace didn't play last week after aggravating a calf injury in practice, and his availability for Sunday is contingent on how he practices this week. Wallace didn't do much Wednesday, but he worked exclusively with the first-team offense Thursday.
"It's another day. I come out here and work and see how I feel, and we'll see what happens," Wallace said.
Charlie Frye, the third quarterback, also practiced, but worked with the scout team.
Also at practice today, Ray Willis got some time with the No. 1 offense at right tackle. WR Michael Bumpus appeared to injure his right shoulder after landing hard on the grass going for a ball, and WR Billy McMullen left practice early with what looked like a right hand or wrist injury.
Koren Robinson and Deon Grant practiced for the first time this week, but Deion Branch missed another day.
For the Buccaneers, linebacker Barrett Rudd and running back Warrick Dunn returned to practice.
