Branch bruised heel; Hasselbeck expected to practice
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Coach Mike Holmgren said receiver Deion Branch suffered a bruised heel, and he is the player whose status for this week is most uncertain. The injury is an issue of pain tolerance, Holmgren said, and it will have a more pronounced effect on someone like Branch, who relies on quickness and precision of cuts.
Matt Hasselbeck had his right knee examined Monday. The tests confirmed Hasselbeck suffered what Holmgren described as a "tweak," but the coach said he expects Hasselbeck will be able to practice this week.
The other injury from the game was cornerback Kelly Jennings, who suffered a concussion. Holmgren said he expects Jennings will be OK, too.
