Tatupu will have knee drained
Posted by Jose Romero
Seahawks MLB Lofa Tatupu is not only dealing with a cast over his right thumb, he also has fluid buildup in his right knee that will be drained later today.
The fluid, Tatupu said, affects his ability to bend the knee and get in his stance on defense. But when drained, that flexibility returns. Tatupu had the knee drained before last week's game, too. He suffered a bone bruise in the knee in the exhibition game at San Diego on Aug. 25.
Tatupu isn't expected to miss the game Sunday. He was limited in practice this week because of the knee, not the thumb, as he pointed out that he caught two balls in practice.
