Confirmed: Seahawks agree to contract with Billy McMullen
Posted by Danny O'Neil
The Seahawks reached an agreement with Billy McMullen on a one-year contract. José Romero spoke to McMullen's agent, who confirmed the deal was reached. Apparently, the decision came down to McMullen and Samie Parker though it remains possible with Seattle's lack of depth at wide receiver that Parker could be added also.
McMullen is 28, attended college at Virginia and was released by Washington during training camp. He played in the Philadelphia Eagles' offense for three seasons starting in 2003, and played in 16 games for Minnesota in 2006. He caught 23 passes for 307 yards for the Vikings.
Here's a link to McMullen's player profile on NFL.com.
