No update on Red Bryant on Thursday

The rookie defensive tackle was watching the morning practice wearing glasses, not a helmet. He had a legging on his left leg, and has a sore knee coach Mike Holmgren said will be evaluated further.

Bryant underwent season-ending surgery his junior season at Texas A&M, but that was on his right knee. The legging he wore Thursday indicated this injury was to his left knee.

FYI, on Claire's seattlepi.com blog Red Bryant's first examination revealed an injury requiring arthoscopic knee surgery. They will seek a 2nd opinion. Too bad, sounded like he was kicking a.

Man, we're having trouble with our DT's, having enough healthy bodies to play. Maybe we need to go to a 3-4, or even 2-5.

Word is he is getting surgery today and will be out 4-5 weeks. That's a bummer. =(
