Lawrence Jackson on the field for practice
Posted by Danny O'Neil
The Seahawks have reached an agreement with their first-round pick, Lawrence Jackson, who's ready to be on the field for the first practice. The parameters for this deal were put in place when the players taken both before and after Jackson reached agreements on Thursday.
There has been no announcement of the signing, which means that the final paperwork hasn't been filed, but Jackson's presence on the field indicates that they've reached an accord. No contract specifics at this time, but again, the final paperwork isn't even in.
The agreement is believed to be a five-year deal that totals $11.25 million with about half of that guaranteed.

WOW! WHAT A GREEDY BASTARD! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS HOLDING OUT LIKE THAT!
I'm being sarcastic by the way. Just making fun of all those morons who kept posting that the last couple of weeks.
Carlson is the one who really needs to get in here. TE is going to be a major issue this year and its going to be hard enough for him as it is. Missing time is just going to make it worse.

Calrson must have the hawks number if he thinks he can hold out as a 2nd rounder.

Damn, I didn't know we released Mike Green though. Just read it on the AP. Why we would do that? He was a pretty good back up safety and special teams player. Who do we have in camp that can fill his spot. The only back up safety I can think of is CJ Wallace.

They are very high on how Jamar Adams did in the mini-camps, and since Kevin Hobbs also is kicking butt at corner, making that position even deeper (right now he is doing better than Josh Wilson even), they can move some guys around in the CB area and free up Babs to play more safety this year.

Danny, great news! Now, go get Carlson signed (you must be a great go-between!) and we're ready to roll.
(Maybe you weren't the driving force, after all, but no one needs to know that).
Anyway, thanks for the info.
