Lawrence Jackson remains unsigned
Posted by Danny O'Neil
Defensive lineman Lawrence Jackson, Seattle's first-round pick, hasn't signed. That's not unusual, though. So far, only seven of the 31 players taken in the first round of April's draft have signed an agreement. Here's a link to the list of first-round signees from the league's official Web site.
Tight end John Carlson -- Seattle's second-round pick -- also remains unsigned. Agreements with fourth-round pick Red Bryant and fifth-rounder Owen Schmitt are in place, but have not been announced by Seattle so the paperwork may not be final yet.
The status of those picks is something that will be monitored closely over the next few days.

what a greedy jackass. Typical U$C ego punk. Why did we draft him? only 1st rounder holding out. I agree, hee should be thankful to make a dime playing a game.

Why is it that the uneducated and uninformed always what promote their idiocy by posting garbage.
free lunch, if you would have happened to keep up on current NFL news you would have know, as quoted by Clare Farnsworth, There was a delay in most signings in the top two rounds while a special master ruled on a grievance filed by the NFL Players Association against the NFL management council on how to count guaranteed "one-time bonuses" against the salary cap. The ruling came down over the weekend – in favor of the NFLPA – and should prompt a rush of signings this week.
As for dave if you would have clicked on those neat blue words (that is called a link) than you would have known that there are only 7 1st rounders that have signed deals to date.
Just want to make sure that you are educated and informed so we can stop the spread of ignorance that someimtes permeates the blogs that are on the internet. Hey this could also be called a 'public service announcement as well.

First all you haters out there need need to stop talking down on these nfl players. You probably havent even played football since pop warner. This is a business ran by the organizations and the players. Unlike you, they work all year and get paid only during the season. Even if its more in one week than you'll make in your life. These rookies dont want to get short changed on the money. They never know when their carrers could be over. Look at David Pollard of the Bengals or Kevin Everett for the Bills. Careers over in a flash. Put on their shoes. Would u want somebody drafted after you, make more money than you. I bet Jake Long doesnt like it. Let the 29th and 27th pick get signed so they can have some numbers to work with. then see if he gets signed. P.S. He's not a holdout yet. Not till the vets report to camp. a deal could b reached in the next 24 hrs. So please GIVE THE MAN A BREAK!!!!!
