Russo out, Shelton in
Posted by Jose Romero
What a difference a day makes. Anthony Russo, the former UW wide receiver whom the Seahawks signed as an undrafted free agent after the April draft, has been released. I just saw him at team headquarters yesterday.
The Seahawks have signed WR Trent Shelton to replace Russo on the roster. Russo did not practice Monday or Tuesday because of injury. Shelton is 6 feet, 202 pounds and played in college at Baylor before spending 18 days in September of 2007 on the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad.
Also, latest word is that the team is practicing in Kirkland today, as the rain has let up enough to allow for that. The team moved practice to the UW Tuesday.
