Alexander's release official
Posted by Danny O'Neil
President Tim Ruskell just talked to a group of reporters here at Seahawks headquarters, informing of the decision to release running back Shaun Alexander after he was cleared by doctors to begin playing football again.
Ruskell did not say whether the team designated him a post-June 1 cut or not.

Rob you are an idiot and don't have any knowledge of football. Shaun could have held out for more money at any point in his career--and didn't. He has been the class of the league.

Remember one thing, all NFL defenses picked up the Seahawk running game after Shaun broke out from his MVP season, thus the injuries since he was being punished. Same thing happened for LT in San Diego.
If you watched how defenses have attacking the man, you would be more know why he's been so hurt.

Thornthorn..
I have more knowledge in one of my ball hairs than you have in your whole body. It's fans like you that keep the Seahawks from winning it all.. You fall in love with a player regardless of his talent.. You're probably one of those Vin Baker apologists as well.. ;)
Class does not equal heart, which Shaun had none of.. He is a product of a great O-Line. PERIOD.
I'm not attacking the man personally (which is what you're trying to defend), I'm just pointing out that he is a weak back, and it's because he has no work ethic and is a soft player.. He's an amazingly nice guy, one I'd love to have a beer with.. I just don't want him to be my starting running back is all.

Good riddance Shaun "Charmin" Alexander!
If you don't want to earn your big pay day, then get out of the league. I feel sorry for any team that decides to pick up this lame duck. Anyone that watched Charmin's career knew that he only ran well when the hole was wide open.
Folks will say, "Hey, be thankful for Shaun's contributions." I wish those people would remember he laid down after he got the $$, and pretty much cost the Hawks any chance of getting back to the Super Bowl since we had zero running game.
