D-Jack now Denver's Jackson
Posted by Danny O'Neil
It was just about a year ago that a major cause of civic concern was president Tim Ruskell's decision to trade wide receiver Darrell Jackson for a fourth-round pick. Not only that, but he was trading him for a fourth-round pick within the division.
Well, Jackson lasted one season with San Francisco before being let go and has now agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Denver, according to ESPN.com. Here's a link to the report right here.

Get dropped by S.F. is a true insult to ones on talent, but there was a day S.F. ruled.
DJ did good by us all in all, but as above said, attitude had an effect on his play here, he just didn't know he was well off with the hawks!

I hope Denever enjoys the dropped balls at critical times. He was a good reciever here when he had his head in the game. im glad hes gone though its giving us more space to grow some of the younger players.

Any possibility that we can acquire Chad Johnson in a trade. Thinking that Shaun(a) Alexander's contract must be somewhat similiar, and Shaun(a) would get to go home.
I realize that Johnson doesn't fit Ruskell's character test, but the guy has never been in trouble with the law and his teammates (at least in the past) have seemed to enjoy him. He just strikes me as a guy that wants to win AND have fun.
Think Holmgren and Hasselbeck would mind having that talent during Holmy's last year??

Since we're now somewhat removed from the D-Jack trade and people can look at things more objectively I hope people can now see that he was a decent talent that was productive in Holmgren's system - but that's it.
He was obviously replaceable and not as good as HE thought. His drops and poor attitude made him all the more replaceable. Kudos to the FO for not getting caught up in emotion. Not sure Trader Bob would've done the same thing.
